I’m ready IU.
I have something to look forward to in September.

안녕하네요 everyone!

It’s Miracle here again and I know I know…
I’m totally slacking and I’m always giving an excuse as to why. Last night I had two reason for not posting my Scandalous Saturday entry: I haven’t been feeling well for the past few days and have been pretty much laid up in bed, and what I’ve wanted to report on for Scandalous Saturday directly correlates to my Serious Sunday entry, so I thought why not do them together?
On a brighter note, I’ve been working on my Korean lately, and though it’s a very slow process (I wish I could just be fluent in Korean over night haha), I am receiving a few happy repercussions for practicing, one being learning how to spell new words. I plan on trying to integrate the Korean words I’m learning and hopefully, eventually, can have full Korean posts! Won’t that be the day, guys? :D

Kay sooo, since I’m on an IU rush for the past few days, I decided that Wordy Wednesday should look at the song that I reviewed on Monday— Good Day.
Now don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of other songs by IU that I adore, I just REALLY REALLY like this one. <3
So!
Since I don’t necessarily understand Korean yet, I decided to look up the English translations while watching the music video. Now. First off. I must admit when I first heard Good Day by IU, I thought she was talking about how she was having a GOOD DAY. You know? Like the sun is shining and she’s just so happy and everything because she’s beautiful and young and…that’s what the music makes me believe. It’s very upbeat, happy sounding.
I would have never known it was about a girl who likes someone who pretty much just keeps pushing her away.
That is until I realized something: 어떡해
Because I have watched so many different K-dramas, I started to realize that “어떡해” means—in essence— “What should I do?” or “What do I do?” It’s the same concept.
So anyway. While listening to the song one day—I don’t remember when, it was a while ago—I had a sort of “Aha!” moment where I thought “Why is she asking what should she do? She’s having a good day, right?”
Well guys, IU is definitely NOT having a Good Day.

People would actually think IU would drop out because of the rank she received?
REALLY?!
HOMEGIRL has PIPES!
Hey guys, I’m here with this week’s Music Video Monday.
I’m not starting off too well with my goal of trying not to make my posts so late, and tonight I honestly don’t have much of an excuse. My only real “alibi” is that I’ve been playing Angry Birds. For hours. -___-
I need blinders or something…
Anywho! This week’s Music Video Monday will be focusing on the video Good Day by one of my all time favorite singers, IU.
Now before I start, let me say one thing: OMG, OMG, I LOVE IU!!!!
Okay. End fangirling. Guys, I will try my BEST to not be such a fangirl is this post tonight.

So I guess I’ll start with the set.
Though sometimes a little random, I and everyone else in the world has to admit that the set was gorgeous. In the beginning we see IU in a quaint shop with all sorts of do-hikkies and a parrot on her arm. Totally normal. Then the next scene she’s riding on the back of a passenger bike with a strange man in glasses as they peruse around town. Next, IU is in her home where the strange man serenades her constantly with insturments (IU isn’t having this however!). And then finally, she’s in what looks like her home still, gazing out the window at the snowflakes when the man she likes returns her parrot while she begs him to stay.
Oh poor, IU and your luck with men!
Like I said, though random throughout the entire music video, it’s gorgeous. I almost felt as though I was watching a movie. It was colorful (not as bright as f(x)’s Pinocchio, though), vibrant and extra adorable which is everything that IU is <3
Next, the fashion.
Okay so when I first saw this video, there was nothing screaming at me saying “OH MY GOSH, I’VE GOTTA HAVE THIS!!” But I realized as I progressively watched the video more and more that I really wanted to wear her dress that she uses in her dancing segments of the song.
The first dress, seen first during 2:03 to 2:13, is bright red with an orange bottom with bright orange tights and red-orange heels. The second dress, seen from 3:23 to 3:37 has an orange top with a khaki colored bottom, lilac tights and gray/lilac heels.
In the end, I will find this dress with matching heels and wear it for the fun of the wardrobe. =]

Finally, the dance.
The dance, I must say, is too cute!

I remember the first time I watched it, I was trying to play out the hand movements and facial expressions she does. The dance is relatively simple after watching both the music video and live performances. However it requires a LOT of people (with the same bowl cut and jumpsuit :p).

One day I hope to perform this, and I must admit I’m so happy that I google searched IU almost a year ago
P.S— That parrot is so boss.

Forewarning this post is going to be LONG.
Oh my goodness.
I am so so tired, but I just HAD to talk about my day today.
Today I hung out with a good friend of mine, David Giron. Two years ago we worked at Burger King together but then stopped really “talking” afterwards so we decided why not hang out today?
So this post is so late, but I had an amazing day! I’ll get to that in a later post.
Instead, it’s time to celebrate because this is my first ever Tele Tuesday!
And what better way to start it off then to do a review on the hit Korean drama— DREAM HIGH.
